Śnieżka is a peak on the border with the Czech Republic and is part of the so-called Crown of Polish Mountains. In fine weather, the visibility at the summit reaches up to 200 km and allows you to admire the beautiful panorama of the area. However, it is worth remembering that for most of the year (about 300 days) it is foggy, a distinctive weather feature on ’Snow Mountain’. For most of the year, the weather conditions are similar to those behind the Arctic Circle (low temperatures, gusty winds, rain, or snow), something to consider when choosing your apparel for a summer hike.

Getting to Śnieżka:

  • Black trail starting at the lower base of the ski lift to Mała Kopa (length – about 5.9 km, ascent time – 3 h) MAP,
  • Red trail from the parking lot below Hotel Orlinek through Łomniczka Valley (length – about 6.7 km, ascent time – 3 h) MAP,
  • Green or yellow trail from the Czech Pec pod Sněžkou (length – about 6.1 km, ascent time – 3 h) MAP.

Getting to Śnieżka

  • directly to the summit: by gondola lift from Czech Pec pod Sněžkou (all year),
  • To the top of Kopa – by Zbyszek cableway.
